State Guidelines, Rebates, and Incentives

The classification of Arcimoto vehicles varies from state to state. The FUV, Deliverator, Rapid Responder, and Flatbed are often classified as autocycles, which require a standard state driver’s license. The Roadster is most commonly classified as a motorcycle, which requires a motorcycle endorsement and a helmet. See your state laws for full details.

Arizona

Requirements for FUV, Deliverator, Flatbed, and Rapid Responder 
In Arizona, the FUV, Deliverator, Flatbed, and Rapid Responder are classified as autocycles. 

  • A standard Class D driver’s license is required. 
  • A motorcycle endorsement is not required. 
  • A helmet is not required.

Roadster Requirements
In Arizona, the Roadster is classified as a motorcycle. 

  • A motorcycle license or endorsement is required. 
  • A helmet is required for riders 17 and under. 

Incentives and Rebates

California

Requirements for FUV, Deliverator, Flatbed, and Rapid Responder 
In California, the FUV, Deliverator, Flatbed, and Rapid Responder are classified as enclosed three-wheel motorcycles. 

  • A standard Class C driver’s license is required. 
  • A motorcycle endorsement is not required. 
  • A helmet is not required.

Roadster Requirements
In California, the Roadster is classified as a three-wheel motorcycle. 

  • A standard Class C driver’s license is required. 
  • A motorcycle endorsement is not required. 
  • A helmet is required.

Incentives and Rebates

Florida

  • A helmet is required for riders 20 and under.

  • A motorcycle endorsement is not required. 
  • A helmet is not required.

Roadster Requirements
In Hawaii, the Roadster is classified as a motorcycle. 

  • A motorcycle license or endorsement is required. 
  • A helmet is required for riders 17 and under. 

Incentives and Rebates

Oregon

Incentives and Rebates

Washington
