The Smokejumper Initiative

Fires are a growing problem, especially here in the Pacific Northwest. Just as we are trying to rightsize everyday transportation with the FUV and Deliverator, the goal of the Smokejumper Initiative is to create a rightsized firefighting vehicle that can be operated at just a fraction of the cost of large fire engines.

The Smokejumper is designed to arrive first on the scene with enough fire suppression power to extinguish small fires before they have a chance to grow. With its high-pressure pump and nozzle system, Smokejumper is expected to match the same firefighting capacity of a standard 300 gallon fire engine.

The Smokejumper pilot program is expected to launch with select partners in the summer of 2022.
