Platform
Building a Strong Foundation.
The Arcimoto Platform is the electromechanical foundation for the Pulse vehicles. It consists of our three-wheeled chassis, motor, control electronics and chemistry-agnostic energy storage bay.
The current version of the Platform represents four generations of ultra-efficient electric vehicle prototype iteration. We took feedback from number three, six months of engineering and refinement and then built the generation four prototype to test our conclusions.
The result: a vehicle foundation with extraordinary handling, a substantially reduced footprint compared to a traditional automobile, support for multiple range and battery chemistry configurations and zero tailpipe emissions. While Arcimoto intends to develop several vehicles sharing this common vehicle platform, we recognize its broad applicability to a wide range of transportation solutions. Consequently Arcimoto intends to adopt an "available source" licensing model for the designs and key innovations of the platform so vehicle OEMs, educational institutions and independent vehicle designers can build upon that same foundation.
Licensees of the Arcimoto Platform will receive detailed technical models and schematics, as well as rights to build vehicle(s) based on its design. Platform licensees will also gain access to an online community of next-generation vehicle pioneers and supply partners.
