Boy...A really nice concept. Better than an expensive Tessla and a limited edition Aptera.....but for the life of me, I can not find a PRICE for your vehicle. Before I preorder, it would be nice to know the cost. Thanks.

I love it!!!I love it!!!I love it!!! Bring the prototype to Corvallis. Our mayor is a total electric car enthusiast. You guys will put Oregon seriously on the map. Congratulations! Your internet pictures on Flikr were your secret weapon. The real inside look at "craft" building an electric car. A small dedicated bunch of skilled people can do great things from the "garage".

It says here, http://www.arcimoto.com/journey/welcome-to-arcimoto, that the price will be under $20,000.

Onconsult: Sorry about that. The quick answer is under $20,000.

We worked amazingly hard to get the site up and running but it's always something obvious like price that can be easy to miss.

Here's the answer with a little more detail: We are taking pre-orders that require a $500 reservation fee to hold your spot in line (we're only selling 300 vehicles the first year.) Once all our supplier agreements and final pricing has been worked out we will be able to give you an exact answer to that question. Our original intention was to sell it for $15K, now we are shooting for around $16K. So to be safe and not mislead we are telling everyone "under $20K". Once the base model pricing has been finalized and you have reserved your spot in line with a $500 pre-order deposit, you will receive an email that let's you know final pricing and exact specifications of the vehicle. If you don't like what you see, you can get your $500 back, less a $50 processing fee. If you like what you see but you want to increase the battery pack for a longer range, or you want to upgrade the speaker system, etc, we'll work with you to make that happen. Within 3-4 months of specking out your vehicle (around Fall 2010), you will be driving around town in your new Arcimoto Pulse.

Thanks for your question. We'll be sure to add the price to the site as soon as we can to help answer this question for the many others who might be wondering.

BTW, it also looks like we have some formatting to do on the forums. I apologize for the messy appearance here.

We just got the formatting issues taken care of. Thanks for pointing that out, Katie!

TCrewe,

We'll have some more pictures (and video!) of the car up shortly!

Your deposit is refundable [There is a $50 processing fee. You get back $450] if you choose to not purchase the car because of price, color, options, or any other reason. Your deposit reserves your place in line. If you pre-order today, you can count on having your Arcimoto Pulse sooner.

We have a production prototype that is touring the west coast right now. We recently had it at our launch event in Portland, Oregon. We'll get videos and photos of that event up soon.

Thanks!
