Happy New Year

It has been an interesting year for the automobile industry with nearly every automobile company losing money and the government bailout.  Consumers are once again crying out for fuel efficient vehicles and gas prices have been fluctuating out of control.

There is much hope and expectation in the air as Arcimoto transitions to a new year.  The shop is alive with grinding and welding and hammering.  A new prototype frame is being put together with double A-arm suspension.  Within the next few months we will begin testing our vehicles on the roads around Eugene and hope to begin production this Spring.

Dash Console Designs

These are two of the dash layouts Arcimoto is playing with.  They are design to be easy to read and informative.  There is a gauge to estimate the remaining miles before you need to recharge.  There is also a gauge to monitor the energy being consumed so you can be aware of your driving habits.

So Begins the Testing

We have begun testing the new electronics and motor system.  It sounds great and the motor itself has virtually no vibration even at 5000 rpm.  We are working with a newly designed controller that is being dialed in for our vehicle.  It is exciting to see everything working together.

Zero Emissions Terminology
